These soft cream pencils make a great budget set!

Lori from Color My World on Youtube was right, they are smooth and mostly off-white pencils, especially for the price! Sure, they're not Prismacolor or higher, but for the price, they're very, very comparable. This would be a great starter kit or in my case a great inexpensive kit to use in place of some other more expensive brands. Happy to find another affordable/budget colored pencil set that definitely compares. for basic coloring books and the like so I can keep my best pens for my more artistic coloring books and personal artwork. I've only used them briefly since I just got them, but I felt smooth, creamy wires/cores straight away. I also sharpen normally on an electric sharpener. Be careful with them, they are so creamy that it's easy to add too much color. I've only noticed two types of "problems". One of them is dry "crumbs" and easily breakable super thin pencil leads (because it's cheaper/less expensive, not a pro or expert). Now I just don't sharpen them to the point of sharpness anymore and use a fluffy makeup brush to sweep away crumbs so I don't accidentally leave streaks and smudges on my project. Another issue is that the largest set currently only has 48 pens, but I would happily purchase a larger set if they were available! I'm glad I bought them and I'm happy to give them as gifts. Hope that helps :)

Pros
  • It's amazing
