I can hook this up to my phone which is in my Zeadio smartphone video rig (another great buy). The length of the microphone cable is long enough to allow me freedom of movement with my device/phone. I clip it to the choker next to my neck and it's amazing. Ambient noise is picked up poorly, however. I still collect things around. but it's a bit muted. I take a Y splitter and put one of these on my "cup" rig to be a directional mic for poor people. simple microphone. Range 3 feet. Plus, it comes in a pack of three!
