I've been buying UnionBay since 2015 instead of Revain. I had never heard of them and wanted to try the new men's cargo shorts that looked comfortable. I tried it, and since I was in Arizona and it was hot, the thinness helped a lot. When I say skinny, they are skinny. So subtle, if you get stuck in something in your pocket or your leg while walking, I tell you with confidence that not only will it scratch your pants, but if you stick to something, like a nail, it will likely rip your pants. cut in half or cause serious damage. These pants are so cheaply made that I won't buy them anymore. You expect pants to be ripped, torn, stained etc like my Lucky Jeans are torn after 4-5 years of wearing; but she is 4-5 years old, i have been wearing unionbay pants for 3 months now and they are fading, color washed out in some places not others. Shorts fade even after bathing in vinegar and salt, shorts fade and in less than a year your blue will turn gray, your black will turn bluish blue, your gray will turn bluish gray and khaki will turn bluish gray. sandy faded khaki. You will have a stain from the smallest thing that will never peel off and spread since you got it because the material is so thin you will have tears and tears and you will probably "just this couple" attribute, just to find each pair, and now you're in the hole at UnionBay for more than $100. I want to say that the product is cheap. Yes, it's very thin, breathable and comfortable, just like my panties or swimsuit. I want clothing that protects my male parts from the weather, but still lasts more than six months and can take a little wear and tear. But boys are boys, right? No, when you wear UnionBay your slogan is "The boys will be smaller than their pants". They will not withstand the wear and tear. To put this review in perspective I have purchased 12 pairs of UnionBay shorts since 2015. You ask why 12 pairs? Not because I collect them; but because they disappear after 1 wash and soak in vinegar and salt, because after catching my foot on a nail or a doorknob that reached into my pocket, i almost ripped my pants off, I once pulled out a pocket rope thread and there was a gap between the pocket and the front of the pants. I've spent hundreds replacing those stupid cheap overpriced shorts to make ends meet; and don't get me started on embers (if you smoke) it just leaves a black mark on most clothes, on these pants it burns a hole! Here are the thin ones! Pants - changed 4 times in 1 year due to wear and tear. I also write a minus for trousers, but for shorts; Just buy Dickies, throw me in the wash to preserve the color (your wife will know) and then use fabric softener, soften them and they get a lot stronger! You catch Dickies on a nail or doorknob and that nail or doorknob comes off, not your pants!
