They are not a very warm golden light, but they are not cold either. They have a nice warm color. Unroll them very slowly, tie the end to something solid and stretch the wire the whole time and they won't get tangled. Basically they just curl and tangle where the light is when it's dimmed. The remote works when you normally point at the USB connector (which may be behind something). They do NOT shimmer beautifully like a fairy garden. But one setting is fine, and the stable setting works every time. Helpful Tip: Hang a garland or other decorative item on a chandelier or anything else by wrapping these lights around it. 16ft is a long way for small items but just wrap it end to end a few times and (you may never take it off again) but the garland I wrapped looks nice and you don't see any wires .
