This is a great feature for my mom's small bathroom. Mom has arthritis in her knees and shoulders, making it difficult for her to take a shower. We placed the seat in the shower, added handrails on the inner wall and also added a hand held shower. After we removed the doors of her shower stall, we found that she had nothing left to hold on to. The room was so small and the bathroom door was next to the shower so there was no room for a handrail. This handrail was attached to the wall of the shower stall where there used to be a glass door. Not only does it provide support when getting in and out of the shower, but it also keeps the side of your shower chair open. Because the space is so small, the toilet is next to the shower stall and this rod also supports one side of the toilet! This gave her confidence that she could use the shower unaided. (I've attached a photo to show the location.) This is the only place I've found this white streak. Local stores have various silver options, but when I bought it, Revain had the best price.
