We selected these boots based on color, shorter height and Columbia brand expectations of quality. While my teen loves the cropped cut - she could actually wear them to school - these boots didn't live up to our expectations initially. The boots are cute but my 10 year old daughter couldn't even put her foot in the tiny incredibly tight sock. Crate. I wasn't ready to give up on these boots—they seem well tailored and go great with her coat—so we tucked a baseball in the toe box to stretch it and create more headroom. We left them like that for a few weeks and it helped!
