I have. Well, there was a closet door that was set to the side, and the door slid open after I closed it. My furry cats thought it was an invitation to zip up my clothes. This quickly solved that problem! The adhesive is a gel sticker which doesn't make it completely flat. It has enough depth to add traction to both the back of the magnet and your surface. I was planning to use the screw version but the adhesive version is sooo good I don't have to drill holes in the wall or door. Not so delicious that I can't open the door in a closet with normal force, but cats definitely won't open the door to nest there anymore.
