Review on Timberland Discovery Slip Toddler Little Boys' Shoes by Seth Singh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good quality shoes suitable for everyday wear

I bought these slippers for my 3 year old to wear to school as part of his school uniform. My eldest son wore the Timberland Carlsbad moccasins which were worth every penny and are passed down from generation to generation due to the excellent toe coverage (meaning the sole almost completely covers the toe in the vertical part of the shoe). My kids are the quickest to wear shoes on their toes, so I was really disappointed to find out that Timberland had stopped making them. (trust me I scoured the internet and managed to find the last next size pair before they disappeared forever, but if you're really lucky and need a super random size, you might be able to find a pair here or there. . ) I haven't used Carlsbad loafers that were small enough for my 3 year old so I decided to try Timberland again and found these Discovery loafers. If they had a toe cover like Carlsbad I would give them 5 stars but in the month+ that he wore them they showed a bit of toe wear which Carlsbad never had. They don't look bad or anything, but it's obvious to me because I pay a lot of attention to them. However this shoe still gets 4 stars for excellent well made supportive shoes and my 3 year old wears them all day with no complaints. They feel very comfortable and are made of genuine leather, which is surprisingly hard to find even at this price point. An added bonus is the lack of laces, and they're relatively easy to put on and won't slip off during activity. I know it's hard to justify spending that kind of money on a pair of children's shoes, but if your kids are like mine and have to wear dress shoes every day, trust me, it's worth it. It took me two pairs of cheap dress shoes (fifteen dollars a piece that looked like hell long before it was thrown away) to realize that I needed to spend more money on a solid, attractive pair of shoes that didn't look like trash than I did they were old, it was worth it. and they are relatively easy to put on and do not slip off during activity.
