One of the main reasons I chose this set is the sketchbook, it's 100 sheets 9x10 60lbs, high quality finish, sounds really good value. But the paper has a very rough surface, which I don't like, and some pages even have holes, I just ripped them out. On a rough album, the graphite pencils 3H to 3B don't differ much, they have the same blackening with the same pressure, although I see the pencils a little differently on smooth paper. I haven't tried charcoal pencils yet, the case is well made. Update: I just tried charcoal pencils and pencils, they are a bit grainy, not smooth, even soft. I like the woodless graphite pencil, that's one of the whole set. The kneadable eraser is very difficult to knead. So I bought other pencils and erasers but put this one aside. But I'm a beginner, I hope I can use them when I'm more familiar with the drawing tools.
