Good combination of features

I bought the Teton Oasis daypack as a lightweight backpack for various limited or impromptu trips. I also have a Teton Talus 30L backpack that I use for a day or two of hiking. Talus offers some features that I love and rely on regularly, which is why I thought of Oasis. Now, Oasis is my answer to limited quick grab-and-go, always loaded and boxed at the door. It's lightweight, easily packs into a suitcase, duffel bag or duffel bag for portability, it's well made and has enough storage space to carry everything I need for a good day. There's enough space to simply pack or fetch a rolled-up rain jacket or fleece without having to go inside. Comfortable to wear for long hours, the Oasis is practical and has the ability to attach things to the outside of the pack. My favourite. The 3 liter reservoir is also a nice feature, but I probably rarely need that much water on a hike with such a small backpack. Good idea, but I'd probably put a 1.5 or 2 liter bottle in it, or put a bottle of Nalgene in one of the side pockets. If I'm going somewhere where I need to carry 3 liters of liquid, I'll take a bigger, stiffer bag and probably more stuff. I wouldn't use a 22L Oasis backpack like the Talus overnight. Overall, the Teton Oasis backpack is small but convenient in size, well thought out and constructed, and comfortable to carry. I wish he had daisies, but I can't blame him for not having them. The Oasis will probably be my last daypack unless it gets stolen by an envious passer-by. Then I would buy it again.
