Review on Rugged Handheld GPS 🧭 Navigator - Garmin eTrex 22x by Jacob Brooks

I've been using the eTrex 10 with a paper chart for about a year. When they announced the topoActive map with it, I decided to give it a try. The additional functions are great. The attached image is a topoActive map. Hovering over a street displays the street name. Shows the distance and direction to the location. If you click on "Select" you will get the details of the selected location. This morning I made waypoints and a route from a map and went through it with a compass. Very accurate. At this point in my life I don't need it. I bought a street map for North America and it works great with it. I used it this morning to navigate to where I had my way back. Garmin changed the route without protest. You can search for gas stations, truck stops, restaurants, hotels/motels and the like using both topography and street maps, but the topographer thinks you're a crow. Did I say I really like it?
