I'm fair skinned and live in Florida, so I wear a hat almost every day of the year. This hat is lightweight - you won't feel it even on the hottest days. The rim is wide enough to hide glare while driving. It's also windy here, so I really appreciate the harness. Contrary to most reviewers, I find the hat a little big - it's adjustable, but the adjustable part slips off, so I remake it often. For those interested in color I have purple. It's not as bright as in the picture, a bit darker and more muted.
