Silver and clear kitchen knife set, 15 pieces I was really hoping that this innovative piece of equipment would fit our worktop between the stove and the wall. Unfortunately it isn't; The base of the device is wider than it appears on the product image. I like the idea of clear plastic, but I'm concerned that if clean knives aren't returned completely dry after being washed in the dishwasher, it will stain over time. Also, the scissors *didn't* hang straight up and down like in the picture; They kept wanting to fall on their side and it looked very crappy and potentially dangerous (the tips are sharp!). Now the knives themselves are good. Knife sets are always one of those situations where you get what you pay for, but I really like these handles. They have an ergonomic design which I think makes them easier to grip. However, my husband found the metal too slippery (he's afraid of losing the knife if his hands are sweaty) and it was weird. nonmetallic if that makes sense? Not cool enough to touch, not warm enough after holding, VERY light. I don't know how they forged these knife handles, but they look very much like a love-it-or-hasse-it result.
