I have only tried these 2 tips out of a set of 7 tips; both have the same defect. When my iron is set at 370°C, the displayed temperature of both tips tested quickly jumps from around 300°C to 450°C - a range of over 100°C, making it impossible for the iron to actually control the temperature of the spike, and the changes are occurring too quickly to reflect actual temperature changes. The original tip on the same iron works fine so I don't think the problem is with the iron. And if two consecutive tips have the same defect, it's almost certainly not just a random defective tip - it's most likely either a bad design or a consistently poor manufacturing process and terrible (or non-existent) quality control. doesn't even deserve 1 star.
