Review on ๐Ÿ”ช John Boos MPL1812125G: Premium 18x12x1.25 Inches Maple Edge Grain Cutting Board - Top Choice for Chop-N-Slice Tasks by Jennifer Hulett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good chopping board (for the price)

This is my second John Boos Maple chopping board. My first size was 15" x 20" x 1.25". I've also had issues with gaps at the edges of the board, between laminate joints. Penetrate the cracks, dry thoroughly, then sand. I have the board never soaked in a sink despite running it on tap water. In short, I have a love-hate relationship with John Boos blocks. Order my second 18" x 12" block, mainly because the price is right and it looks good; if it's noticeable and cracks badly, I can fix the cracks as above or order new boards, I think the old adage "you just don't make them like they used to" with sturdy solid cutting boards might be true. You'd think the only problem you might have is warping.Anyway, for $39.95 this 12" x 18" maple board can be replaced about 6 times before I find myself at the top of the price range Assortment for slicers tter of this size.
