I work in IT and work with multiple computers almost every day. This mouse has never had any driver related issues and the optical reader has had no issues on any suitable surface that I have used it on. It's also heavy enough to be used comfortably for long periods of time, yet small enough to be carried around easily. The USB receiver is hidden in the battery compartment. and in order not to lose Here are my 2 negatives: 1. If you drop the mouse on a surface such as concrete or asphalt, the rubberized case will be easily damaged.2. The range of a USB receiver is short and should be relatively unobstructed. It can work across the table if the pc is under the table, but that's about it. You can purchase a USB M to F extension cable to fix this. Do I recommend this mouse for everyday desk use: No As a portable laptop mouse: Yes!
