Repeated sharpening improves the blade

I encourage other customers who are not satisfied with the results to use their knives within a week of the first sharpening and then sharpen them again. Then use another week, then sharpen again. I started with knives that hadn't been sharpened since I bought them years ago. They were almost useless. After using the sharpener they are much better but not as sharp as I remembered. However, I have found that each weekly sharpening improves the edges a little more than the last. The edges may not return to factory specs but they are certainly much better than they were and more than adequate for my use. Be patient. The knife won't dull in a week. Don't expect a single sharpening to restore a blade to perfection.
