Full disclosure: Almost every charging cable I buy is from Anker. I've been using them for a long time and have never been disappointed. However, this is the first Anker cable I've owned and I feel like it could really use some improvement. I won't say that you should or shouldn't get them instead as I don't know if they have kept their quality over time, I bought them many years ago). The Uni cables I own have a fairly thick braided jacket. Similar to this anchor cable but thicker. It turns out that with a 10-foot cable, the thicker the better when you're planning to stash it in your bag. Repeated winding and unwinding means the thick cable does not twist easily and lays flat when unwound. This cable is long enough and thin enough that unfortunately it does get a little twisted. A little! but even a single kink while unwinding is uncomfortable and makes me worry that over time it could lead to twisting or excessive wear on the inside of the cable. own. You have always felt. Excess. But I reckon they're heavy enough that they almost never kink. YMMV, but let this be food for thought. Anker, if you can hear me I would prefer them a little thicker or less prone to kinks.
