As a college student, I sit and look down all the time when I'm doing my homework. It got to the point where my shoulders and neck hurt every day and my hips hurt whenever I sat crisscrossing in a chair or on an applesauce-style bed. the books I put underneath while I studied in bed. However, this portable table has since been used for many other purposes that have shown me that I am a Neanderthal based on the way I worked prior to this purchase. Now I can comfortably take notes and write cards while leaning back (no more hunched over long typing!), my laptop sits securely on the surface thanks to the fold-down lip, and the adjustable tray makes it easy to view or write from any one Angle. The soft pads on the bottom vary in size with a gap in between that protects your legs (or stomach or chest - I'm not judging) from overheating, and they're so soft you'll forget you're even wearing anything! This laptop is my favorite learning device and I recommend it to anyone who will listen because, frankly, it's awesome.
