Similar products have been tested and not working but the stars are on this product. The camera is very compact and can be installed in a license plate light box. Fairly easy installation - took 45 minutes (I already checked the wiring to the license plate circuit otherwise it would have taken longer). The LEDs are bright so should work well at night. I positioned the monitor so that I could see next to the instruments. Decent resolution and no problems so far. Instructions are sparse, so common sense and tools are required. Once you figure out the connection diagram, check that the monitor and camera are both powered by a 12V power source (an extra car battery for me - beware!). In all of these installations, finding a good ground wire is important. On the camera side it is ground to the reverse light. From the side of the monitor, you need to mount everything and turn on the car light to which you connected the cable. Then touch the ground wire with a metal bracket until the monitor turns on (it was the metal case of the stereo main unit).
