Review on 🪚 WALKCT-BL2425-O Blended Walnut Counter Top with Oil Finish, 1.5" Thickness, 24" x 25" by John Boos by Jessica Brown

I knew it was for one time use so I expected gaps and imperfections on the bottom. However, both sides were equally flawed, with half a dozen gaps on the "good" side larger than 1/16 inch filled with loose sawdust. The largest gap was so wide that I could put 11 playing cards in it thickly. Gap. The corner was completely broken and I had to cut 1/2 inch off, but the packaging was excellent and the packaging was undamaged. It was pretty clear it was damaged before the product was packaged. Loops, or lack thereof, was another issue. The walnut was so dry and poorly polished that when I first ran my hand through it, I got about 30 small shards in my hand in the first few inches before I could even stop. Unfortunately, I ordered these a few weeks early and missed the return window by not opening them soon enough to check the quality. After several hours trying to fix it, I decided to just put it in my workshop as a work surface. Bought the same top directly from Boos and it was perfect as I expected from them. Lesson Learned: Revain sells fake Boos blocks of appalling quality, which explains why it's less than half the price of the same item. by Buos.
