Install was easy and I'll be checking every few months
The water shield has given me a lot of protection over the last 3 months as I've been driving through some very rainy areas in South Texas. It also keeps my cone filter clean during normal driving but should be bought for its hydrophobic protection. Installation was easy and I will check every few months. I heard that the hydrophobic coating wears off after a few months. This seems reasonable. If I have to buy 1 every 6 months I will not be disappointed. After all, this is about protecting my engine from hydroblocking. So far, so good! My friend just bought it for his TL Type-S and is very happy with it.
