It takes some effort and care to install the keyboard and trackpad onto the stand, but once in place everything is secure. The entire underside has an elastomer honeycomb base that reduces keyboard noise and prevents the device from sliding on the table. More importantly, it also keeps the device from sliding down my legs when I put my feet on the table. This is the first time I can use the Feet Up Magic Keyboard and it's great. A trackpad is also a plus. Unlike some cradles/docking stations, this also allows full access to Lightning ports and on/off switches. I will say that initially I was hoping to get an aluminum stand/dock, but with the new colorway and layout of the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2, the white plastic is perfect. Because it's slightly flexible, the keyboard and trackpad snap snugly and hold securely, eliminating workarounds like the double-sided tape some aluminum solutions use. I would buy another one if I had another computer.
