As others have said, the switch does not work. The reason is that the plastic tab on the end that goes into the wall is too short to press the little switch that turns this feature on (between the two holes where the pins are supposed to go). It is also very difficult to push the hose into the wall far enough to even make this observation. I also didn't think the lack of a spring-loaded button on the handle would make a difference, but it does. The handle keeps falling out of the extension cord. This thing is a lot harder to use than it's worth.
