Review on 🔌 Volvo Penta Electric Fuel Pump Assembly - Compatible with 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L (21608511, 21545138) by MOSTPLUS by Bob Schultz

Delivery was quick, packaging and product looked good. BUT when I installed it and did the first test. Fuel was leaking around the round plug on top of the low pressure pump (see photo, sorry photo is not 90 degrees). I confirmed that it wasn't coming from any of the connections I made during installation and then started looking. It won't spill during operation, but I believe this is the suction side of the pump and so fuel must have been drawn in and be under a slight vacuum in that area. When you turn off the engine fuel leaks out from under the round plug, at least I think this is the best place to judge from as I see it upside down and try to film it upside down: ;-) I was very disappointed that the fuel was pulled pump out (a lot of extra work that I didn't need or enjoy) and back in, especially as the engine ran great with the new pump and the pump was very quiet. But I can't have a gas leak in the engine compartment every time I turn off the engine. I gave 2 stars because the rest of the pump worked well and I think one star should be left for Dead on Arrival products. If it hadn't leaked. I would give this product 5 stars.
