These chairs are generally well designed. They are surprisingly light and easy to handle, making them very easy for children to move compared to wooden chairs. They are made of some kind of hard plastic with a slight curve and are very comfortable to sit on. They seem to be quite durable and don't cause any problems for people over 200 pounds. The pattern of the fabric hides stains well. but we decided to glue them anyway since we use them in the kitchen. I would suggest this for any fabric chair. I'm concerned about the plastic chair legs and caps. One of these came out on delivery and we were lucky to find it in the box. But when they fall out or wear out, they can be difficult to replace. The only thing that bothered me was the assembly. It looked simple, with just four hex head screws and lock washers in each chair. But physically it turned out to be a lot more difficult than expected as some of the bolts seemed frustratingly short and difficult to turn and took several minutes (!) to line up perfectly and start tightening. Also, the included hex wrench is too small and keeps bumping into the leg unit when tightening. We're very good with home projects and were able to assemble each chair in under ten minutes, but I suspect many customers have trouble getting the legs in just the right position to line up some of the screws and holes and then tightening them enough .
