Whistle! It whistles on the driver's side but not on the passenger's side. Strange. This is where the rubber seal of the mirror meets the metal body. The rubber sticks out. The reviewer here put clear silicone in it and they said it was gone. I'll try to cut the rubber to match the metal body and hopefully that will reduce or reduce that whistle/wind noise. I'll update this review if it helps. However, installation was easy. I applied anti-seize and used my original windshield screws on my JKU. DO NOT use the included screws unless you have a CJ or TH. I then used blue Loctite in the hand screw that secures the mirror arm. I placed the towel on the handle after hand tightening, then used the channel locks and twisted a few more times. NO VIBRATIONS AND ERRORS. A hand came out of the box. A little annoying, but for the price I live with it. Due to the thinner material/metal, it's sure to be easily scratched by rock chips in the future (better than a windscreen). 3 stars for wind noise and a scratched mirror mount from the factory (I'm pretty sure the paint wasn't damaged, leading me to believe the metal was painted before it was painted). In general I am satisfied. If I can fix the whistling/wind noise from the seal I'll be happier. Good price. UPDATE: 3 days later I took a breakaway utility knife and ran it around the mirror where the rubber seal was protruding. (see fig.) and cut the rubber so that it is flush with the metal housing. Try to be careful not to scratch the paint and to keep the rubber smooth and free of cuts (mine was fine but it wasn't noticeable). NO MORE WHISTLING/WIND NOISE! I can still recommend these mirrors. Easy to fix. I still give them 3 stars due to a manufacturing defect and quality control (ringing on the metal arm). The price is great and I can see properly in the mirrors.
