I use them in a RODI reef system. They work fine when the 1/4 inch line pressure is below 35psi, but when it's higher, e.g. 45 psi, the clutches will slowly begin to loosen until disaster strikes. locked her properly. I had to put out about a gallon of water. The second time I left the unit at 45psi and the next morning I found the entire area was soaked with about 5 gallons of water. Both sides of the Y-top part were pushed out and loosened. After a major cleaning I put on a high end tee and everything is fine. I use my 8800 booster pump to 60psi and no problems. I don't like to pressurize it, because the performance of the reverse osmosis membrane does not increase and the likelihood of a hose rupture increases.
