My daughter used them for hiking in Maine, New Hampshire and Lake Placid, New York! She ran up to 5 miles a day and her legs didn't hurt. Excellent stability on wet rocks and a soft inner surface! Once she even walked without socks. They get wet when you're in the sea, but they felt good in the rain and stayed quite warm. She is 5 years old and wears 12 in all her shoes. The fit was correct and comfortable.
