Now for something you may not know. I ordered this suction tube to replace a worn and aged suction tube for my 30 gallon sea turtle tank (it's still small). The tube just doesn't fit the hole for my existing UG filter element. There are protrusions on the bottom of the tube, the protrusions that need to be turned into slots provided within the filter plate. The tabs just don't fit the UG plate I have. Now the question arises whether this pipe fits on my plate. Or does the plate fit the pipe? I have no idea which item is responsible for not being able to fasten properly. I'm pretty sure the UG filter I recently bought from Revain was actually "Lee's". So why the impossibility of installing the pipe in the hole of the UG plate? Since I bought this item a year ago, . I had to take my tank apart 3 times to attach the tube to keep it from detaching from the plate and floating in the tank. This last time was my last. and turtle. I will be purchasing another complete UG filtration system at my local pet store where I can check and visually inspect the hoses and fittings for proper seating.
