Review on Decdeal Two Prong Damaged Corkscrew Remover by Shauna Kennedy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Completely impractical to use, especially for women.

While the concept sounds good, the execution isn't great. Tried on a new bottle with the cork intact. First you need to insert your THUMB along the edge between the string and the neck of the bottle. You have to do this by making sure everything is straight and vertical! You have to use a LOT of strength. To get enough power, you might be tempted to hit it with your hand. Use too much force to bend your finger. Assuming you've got it down, it's time to insert your SECOND (shorter) finger into the opposite side of the cork. Of course, now you are dealing with BIG friction and need to use BIG force or a harder HAMMER. You may notice the cork moving inward into the bottle before it is fully seated! So you can try twisting it a little, pulling the cork out a little and repeating the hammer blows (hard tapping with the palm of your hand) to insert the opener to the correct depth. You succeeded, but again just a little, before having to twist and pull again as the cork began to sink again. Eventually you pulled the cork out to see your fingers made a crack on the cork which started breaking and falling into the bottle. and your palm is red from pounding, twisting, and pulling. Another useless tool that I will leave in my drawer never to use again unless I have no other choice.
