If you're getting this because you only want to use 1 USB-C cable for charging, display, audio, and more, you might want to reconsider. Everything will work fine except for a constant black screen for a short time (due to Max OS compatibility issues). If you play competitive games or just focus on your work, it will annoy you as much as it does me. There are no solutions for this (since I've tried many things). I went with the HDMI USB-C cable, which only supports display and sound. That being said, if you want to do it all in one. come up with an alternative. Otherwise, I think the cheaper non-USB-C version should be more worthwhile. I still like this monitor. I'm just trying not to think about how much I spent on it. I could buy a cheaper one with similar specs without USBC and it would be fine.
