Review on 🛡️ Acerbis 2141970001 Super Moto X-Strong Black Handguard: Optimal Protection for Motorcycles+ by Tim Springer

I was struggling to fit stock enduro handguards to my KTM 690 SMC with Renthal FatBars. My problem was with my Nissin radial master cylinder and the clearance around it. These Acerbis handrails are designed to address precisely this problem. They fit any bike with handlebars. The aluminum guard is also much lighter than other models; the perfect complement to Supermoto. My recommendations for installation: 1. Included are adapters for internal mounts. Pre-install these adapters, then loosely install the inner brackets.2. Slip the lower arm over the end of the bar and loosely screw it to the inner bracket.3. You have some flexibility to adjust the fit of the adapters on the handlebars. Patiently tighten the inner mount bolts while adjusting the position of the inner mounts to ensure the best contact between the stem and the inner mount adapters.4. Tighten the bar end bolts and check for final fit. These were the easiest handguards to install of the other two brands I tried. Bravo Acerbis for a great product. UPDATE: Almost 1.5 years later I started using these handguards. Took the low side during a track day and didn't damage my expensive master cylinder or rod. The slider on the outside of the forearm took the brunt, but the shields didn't rotate at all and didn't need to be adjusted. I took a bike and rode another 3 hours. Still no problem. Simply the best handguard set you can buy for your supermoto.
