Review on Abus Ionus Chain 8900 Black by Reed Nuttbrock

I have been using Kryptonite Keeper chain locks for years and wanted to try a different brand of chain lock. ABUS Ionus has a stylish design and ergonomic properties. Like the Kryptonite Keeper, I wear this chain as a belt around my waist when riding (28-29 waist) and it fits just the same. The best part has to do with the locking mechanism. Both ends of the chain that fit into the lock rotate, preventing the chain from twisting or tangling. The key is inserted into the lock on the first try, without multiple twists and turns to open like I did with the Keeper of Kryptonite. The cover also attaches securely to the lock unlike the Keeper which cover can crack over time exposing the chain inside which can scratch the bike. This is the most expensive bike lock, but in my opinion it is a higher quality brand than others. I wish it was made in Germany, like the brand itself, but the lock is made in China, like almost all bike parts and accessories these days.
