You must follow the instructions!
I've read some reviews about it twisting at the ends and not sticking well, but I followed all the instructions and had no problems! Most importantly, after cutting, you need to heat it with a hair dryer to make the ends flat. Then wet the window and use a credit card to get the bubbles out. It's really nice at different times of the day when the outside light changes. Gives my basement windows a nice matte finish.
