Works well with thick cuticles.

It's okay. I use it to gently trim thick cuticles. I'm kind of struggling with shiny, torn skin. It doesn't smooth them like I thought. After several attempts to smooth the same spot, I gave up and used wire cutters instead. It's good for smoothing rough cuticles, but not for bruised cuticles.
