Very expensive and missing in several places

Well, this set has advantages and disadvantages. Pros: Gives you the ability to replace your stock head unit when options are limited. Visually it looks good. My first had the metal clips broken, looked like it was a used unit, sent it back and they sent a new unit. The second block was new but again the bottom metal clips are an issue with installation. So I finally solved the problem by changing it and fixing the problem. Second, the finish of this item is a bit rough. Some of the edges still had burrs from the casting process, making them sharp. I know it seems finicky, but for $300 for a piece of plastic and a small screen, I think they can add a little more quality control. Third, PRICE. Is it really $300? Some kind of plastic and screen. Fourth, the firmware is patchy and not working 100% and looks unfinished. After several firmware updates, my steering wheel controls work when they want them to and the rear air conditioner controls don't work properly. The radio control was calibrated several times, but without success. At $300 I cannot recommend this device given the above issues. But people will buy it because there are no other options.

Pros
  • Radio accessories
Cons
  • Sad device
