I'm new to pen dipping and have heard/read/seen how to clean nibs when they're new (the most common suggestion is to pierce a potato) but I forgot to do this . I've used a G tip on each and haven't noticed any ink retention issues. Maybe they didn't need cleaning? In any case, as a beginner, I was worried about how they would feel. I found I could easily control the pressure and changing the line wasn't a problem for me. If I were really going for it as someone who might need a lot more nibs I would buy a larger pack at the best price per piece but I wanted to try them first.
