I have no complaints about these pliers. Composite wire cutters can cost over $50 (Irwin/Vise handles) so it's a bargain and they're well made too. For those who don't get it, combination pliers can cut through thicker material with less effort, for the same reason a compound bow is easier to draw than a recurve bow, even with less draw force. In other words, with simply supported standard wire cutters, you are severely limited as to what you can cut with the power of your hand. Of course, the same goes for tiers with complex cutters, but the design allows for easier cuts in thicker material. I mainly use them for cutting thick lines to cut weeds. The tip of the needle helps loosen any old, stubborn trimmer line. It is comfortable to hold and for lighter work.
