I use these gloves every day for production work, mainly high power MIG welding. I use a thicker pair of company-supplied gloves for really awkward stuff, but as they say they hold up well if you're reasonable with your expectations. They definitely block heat and spatter from most welding jobs. Every once in a while I'll catch some hot stuff doing my overheads with the glove and feel safe, but I can always make small adjustments and keep going without burning myself. I recommend them for welding.
