Purchased PetSafe in Revain Floor System. The cable that came with the system was a bit flimsy for my liking so I decided to buy it separately and I'm glad I did. I rented a cord cutter from a local lawn and garden center, placed the spool in place and within an hour and a half had the cord running around my 5 acre yard. This wire came as expected, a single strand of insulated copper wire that was much heavier gauge than the 20 gauge yellow wire that came with it. I chose the 16 gauge as opposed to the 14 gauge offered, mainly because of budget. After interviewing professional installers, I found that most installers choose 16 gauge or 14 gauge wire, so I felt confident in my decision. I am very happy with the product and happy to report that my two dogs have been able to play in the garden without limits! Great product, I would definitely recommend using the heavier gauge wire rather than the thinner wire that comes with the kit.
