not very good quality

held every 15 minutes the inner plastic is poorly bonded to the wool lining - disappointing product from this brand - don't waste your money.

Foam not the same

I returned to them after trying fiberglass foam workboat pads. I think the foam works well for a clear car finish, but it doesn't smudge and polish as well as these wool pads. This is just my experience.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Unsure

Does the hard work for you

Stops oxidation on fiberglass gelcoat when using a Dewalt variable speed, slow start buff and McGuiar's 67 Marine/RV Polish. I didn't have to press hard because the pillow did all the work. Cut to a high gloss and not glued. They say that hand washing will extend the life of the rug, but a dryer with a load of towels cleans it well. But do not tumble dry. Dry air! There are red indicators built into the fibers to tell you when it's time to replace them, but it won't be soon.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

AMAZING RESULTS! - Buffing and buffing pads

Just pulled my 35ft 1999 Albin out of the water to paint the bottom and apply gelcoat wax. I figured I'd do the waxing myself this time. I started with my regular random orbital wax, a regular terry cloth applicator, and a buffing cap. HORRIBLE results. The shipyard owner came and gave me one of those wool hats and I couldn't believe the difference. I also used a regular terry cap for waxing. I've been asked by a few people what I'm using and that the gelcoat looks like new. I ended up using…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list will go on.
