K&N Air Intake Kit to fit replacement

This kit was easy to install and I can definitely feel the difference in performance; especially when towing. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get a little more power and performance out of their stock engine at a fraction of the cost. In fact, I have a feeling that for the least amount of money spent, you get the most horsepower gain.

Product as described requires minimal effort.

K&N did not disappoint. This is the high quality I have come to expect from this brand. The only issue I found was that the angle of one of the breathers caused a slight fit issue, but that was easily resolved. I assume this isn't a problem with the more popular kit filaments. I am an odd consumer installing this type of product on a Lincoln Navigator. I highly recommend this and any product from this company.

K&N states that a loud intake noise is normal for a 97 4.6L truck idling after driving.

97 F150 4.6L. Bought and installed in my truck. When I stop, the CAI makes a loud sucking noise (not a hiss). My check engine lights don't come on. I called K&N support and they said the sound was normal and there was nothing they could do. If this is a known issue and there aren't any workarounds, I expect the company to make sure the customer knows before they buy it and waste time on it.
