inferior product. The water didn't come out properly.

Poor quality product. The water didn't start properly from the first use. And after the 2nd use I found the first rust spots, so I had to send it back.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Socket required

Cute little pot on the stovetop Espresso and moka maker

Cute little pot, but the key word is 'small'! It's too small to sit on my gas stove grate so I have to place a small cast iron pot on the stove and then place the coffee pot in the jug.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Repair

What it does is good but not enough

Attractive and well made. The bottom reservoir only holds 1 cup of water. Prepares about a third of a cup of espresso. What he's doing is good, it's just not enough. The gas stove melts the handle. I had to use it on the stove. You can buy a large model or something else.

Espresso for 2 cups

This little moka makes great coffee. Works well on an induction hob. I had some beans that I used for french press. I wasn't happy with the taste. I ground up some mocha beans, boiled them and put them on the induction stove. While the coffee was brewing, I warmed up some milk and frothed it up. He poured coffee into a small cup. Pour the frothed milk over it. First sip, fantastic taste. Now I'm wondering why I didn't get a Moka coffee maker sooner. When using an induction hob, only the…

SCARY AF!: Kitchen & Food

Wow, it's hard to capture the full effect on video. I kept backing away from the stove. It felt like I had to wear EOD armor. Although water and steam shot out of the pressure relief valve before it started pouring through the coffee (I didn't fully grab it or tamp it down), the pressure was so great that there was still water in the bottom chamber for which the espresso was made was less than advertised. To make matters worse, the coffee had an odd metallic taste even after the third use. I…

1 or 5 STARS?: Espresso & Moka Maker

A ONE STAR rating for an excellent product is given to people who have no idea how to use it. First, the blue color below is due to all the water boiling out of the unit and the flame staying high. Stupid. The complaint of the two pieces being difficult to connect can be resolved by closely observing the orientation of the handle in relation to the safety valve on the underside and then joining them together exactly where they separate. There was no smell in my unit, period. The handle is cool…
