6X8 Journal Refill Handmade Unlined Review

Edit: I sent it back two months ago and Revane texted me that they haven't received it yet and have charged for it. It's unacceptable that I had to sit in line with customer representatives to do this. It says 8x6 so I assumed it would fit like A5 like all other A5=8x6 mags. But this one is closer to a 5x7 notebook than an A5 notebook. Will not fit one of our magazine covers as it falls between sizes. Pages are good but yellow.

I bought a replacement Rustic Ridge unit to evaluate. I would like to avoid spending on moleskin sketchbooks if possible. Exposing paper to the same challenges it would face on a scenic trip to Europe seems like a good way to do this. So far I've used watercolour, gouache, felt tip pens, sepia and black ink fountain pens, gel pens, watercolor and colored pencils. When I bought the Rustic Ridge Leather Magazine, I bought 3 refills here , and now I buy more as a backup. Each has 200 pages. I appreciate that the books aren't bound that tightly so I can still lay out the pages to write (and not worry about the binding tearing). Plain paper is easier to write on (never knew how to stay within lines). The magazine itself is compact and easily slips into a computer bag or purse for business trips.
