Great Value Adapter Rings (58mm to 72mm) (Fotasy 2 Pack)

Great Value Adapter Rings The threads are a bit rough on both sides but still very comfortable to use. I have uploaded some pictures of the rings I received. The rating is primarily based on the price/quality combination.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Is what it promises

Functionality as an adapter. well, does what it's supposed to. It just falls on the thinner side of the metal so I feel like it will bend pretty easily if it falls the wrong way, but it doesn't. I just looked skinny! Good price for 2 packs.

Pros
  • A good product for its price
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

Excellent value for money

Worked great with my Nikon and Tamaron lenses. They are very light but not flimsy. If you are careful when screwing/unscrewing and not over tightening, they should work fine. Not recommended for heavy professional use, but great for light use. Excellent value for money and quality.

  • An absolute legend

I've been using it all along

I bought this boost ring so I can use the same variable filter on the lens that didn't come in my original kit. The ring fitted very easily and the filter attached with no problems. I use it regularly in my work and recommend it to avid photographers and videographers who use screw-on filters on their lenses.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Volume

DO NOT BUY THIS A set of size 15 rings

Much better than 20 boost rings on a lens. They send 2 so you can leave them on a pair of lenses and you don't see the reflection of the rings in the filter when you take pictures because they're thin. Buy the sizes you need, not a few unneeded ones. You hold the filter close to the lens so you get the effect you want.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Useless features

Helps you save money

I love using these little direct boost rings because they save a lot of money by allowing me to buy 82mm filters and putting them on all my Mount lenses instead of buying specific filters in multiple sizes. That straight 72mm to 82mm is much more convenient than a big pack that you have to piece together from three or more pieces. Less volume, better quality and versatility of my filters!

Pros
  • Great for a small home

You can damage the lens or filters.

I returned my first set because one thread was fine but the other was stuck. In a replacement kit both are stuck. I inspected the threads very closely and you can see where the rings are spot welded. Welds grab filter threads. This is a problem as it is a harder material than rings and can damage threads or damage your expensive filters. I sent them back and will pay for better made rings.

Reasonable price, does the job

They work. They don't cost much. You can buy better adapters, but they cost A LOT more! They serve their purpose and are very cheap. The work of the adapter is not super complicated. The focus is on the quality of materials and carving details. Bad threads and bad metal can cause the adapter to bind. They work well if you just use a little care. I'm happy with them and they do exactly what I need and work well. The price was great as I didn't want to pay 10x for a part I rarely use. If I were a
