Fiction! Works great

I hate dull kitchen knives but I've never found an easy way to do it at home without damaging the blades and taking them to the local grocery store to be sharpened. Not now - these blades work great. Within 30 minutes of opening the box I was sharpening 4 scissors, half a dozen steak knives and about 7 or 8 other Chicago cutlery knives in our wooden knife storage unit. It was very simple, very safe, and very sharp knives and scissors were made. Feel free to buy these sharpeners. They are easy…

Finally a sharpener for EVERYTHING

I have used all three of these sharpener sets so far. Yes I have an old fashioned wet rock that was passed down from my father to me and probably from his father to him. so easy to use. I would say I'm probably abusing my tools :). Scissors cut everything, and sometimes I would dip them in the water. Ouch! It's the scissors, because they rust sometimes. I cut coupons, corrugated, whatever. A few strokes with the sharpener and they were reborn. It's the same with others. I probably abuse…

They work! in kitchen & dining room

Impulse buy during Thanksgiving Sale - very cheap. Hoped not expected they would work. I hate dull tools, but I'm consistently unable to sharpen them myself. Much to my surprise, these things work! I have never attempted to sharpen garden tools but I have sharpened 4 kitchen knives and a pair of scissors and am happy with the results. One of the knives was serrated like a bread knife, but I was able to sharpen it anyway. Two of the knives are very old and their blades have chips that I have not

They actually work

I had them sharpen some very hard to find embroidery scissors. I honestly didn't expect them to work and was even more skeptical when I saw how the scissor sharpener is constructed. The piece of steel used to sharpen scissors was flat and not bent at all. Although I had nothing to lose as several of my embroidery scissors had stopped cutting thread so it was either that or the bin. I followed the instructions exactly, again not expecting anything. I applied about 25 pounds of pressure and…

Works well when used correctly

Of the three sharpeners in this set, the AccuSharp knife sharpener is the easiest to use. Just hold it in line with the blade and move it in one direction with only light pressure (grab the tip) so you don't remove too much metal and roughen up the edge. It works! (By the way, AccuSharp makes a separate sharpener for fillet knives, which I have several in my kitchen.) The scissor sharpener is less convenient. You should be able to see or feel the sharpener at the bevel. And you have to keep it…

Anything that can be sharpened is now very sharp

All three sharpeners give excellent results. They are small, light, easy-to-use yet powerful tools. I have some weirdly curved vintage custom knives that I can't sharpen with the ChefChoice electric knife sharpener. I also use fancy thin bladed hoes in my gardens and sharpening has always been a chore. Then I thought of our machetes, our shovels, our shears, our secateurs. You get the point: we have a lot of blades to sharpen - and that's putting it mildly. When I saw this trio for sale…

fifty-fifty . beautiful.

I read the reviews and thought this sharpener would fill all my needs. The scissor sharpener (read how to tilt your head slightly and make sure you're sharpening the correct side of the blade) worked really well once I got the hang of it. They came out sharp from tip to root and I had rat clippers to try. Now I can actually cut paper with it. Then I moved on to my knives. This is where I encountered problems. It doesn't seem to have the edge sharpness I was hoping for. I've tried them on a few…
