Description of ACDelco 17D1050M Professional Semi Metallic Front

Tested to SAE J2784 for braking effectiveness, along with Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) and durability/wear testing for assurance of quality. Ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic formulas provide safety and reliability for a range of vehicle applications. Integrally molded - friction material molded to backing plate for bond integrity. Stamped backing plate allows for proper pad movement within the caliper assembly, reducing noise, brake pulsation, and helps to protect against premature wear. Some ACDelco Gold parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco Professional. Premium aftermarket replacement part. Manufactured to meet specifications for fit, form, and function for General Motors vehicles as well as most makes and models.

Pros
  • Quality shims, slots and bevels help reduce noise, vibration and hard braking
Cons

I thought I could buy myself a few months to swap out the whole system for a track oriented setup, but now I'm biting the bullet and paying for the Hawk pads by throwing the ACdelcos in the trash. Come on guys you can do…

Easy install, quieter, cheaper than OEM

Fits the front Brembos on my 2014 Mustang GT with no problems. I replaced the standard pads with ceramic pads in hopes of reducing dust, but the pedal feel was soft with no initial bite. They have a much better bite and pedal feel with almost no noise. I applied quite a bit of Stop Screech before putting them on so we'll see how long they stay calm. Overall happy with them as they cost about 1/3 the price of original Ford pads. Edit: 4 months on the car and they were starting to make a lot of…
