Not worth the hype in my review

This cold air intake did absolutely nothing for my car's performance despite the advertised gains in horsepower. The installation process was a nightmare and poorly explained. It may have looked nice under the hood, but the cost and hassle were not worth the underwhelming results.

Pros
  • Attractive appearance
Cons
  • No noticeable improvement in performance

I like it. 2019 Nissan Maxima Platinum 3.5 V6

Love it, the instructions were crystal clear and helped you move from one setup to the next etc. Tighten the rear wheels. Geesshh! I personally haven't been able to install that one silver bolt to connect the heat shield to the engine bay, but it didn't seem to affect the fit of the heat shield in any way. I wish someone would tell me removing the engine cover was a curse word to maneuver to remove. Caution: Do not remove the entire engine cover from the engine, just slide it all the way back…

Great for enthusiasts

First of all I have to say that AEM has definitely put a lot of good R&D into this kit. The power increase is 12 hp and its claimed torque is 11 lb-ft. 2 problems with it. One of the torque readings on their sheet shows a 5 lbf torque loss. , a car with a power of 300 hp needs to develop FWD of 240 hp. with 20% transmission loss up to 255 hp with 15 percent transmission loss. Share your findings with them and the rep said he would email R&D. I contact my tuner shop to ask them to run my 2018…

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Long delivery time
