Description of 🔪 The Legendary Arctic Ulu Knife, Perfect for Alaska

Finally, a rocker knife worthy of great chefs! Ulu knives have a unique design which increases dexterity and leverage, making fine cuts simple and chopping easier. The blade is made of stainless steel and has a large, easy to grip wooden handle. This is an excellent tool for single-handed people or people with weak hands. The Ulu rocker knife performs most culinary chores with ease and efficiency - from chopping nuts to slicing cheese and meats. One aspect of this knife that sets it apart from other rocker knives is that it can easily be sharpened, giving it much longer usability. The blade on the Ulu Knife measures 6". Walnut knife stand and instruction book included. The Ulu knife (pronounced oo-loo) comes from Alaska, and has been used by Native people of the Arctic for centuries.

Works as advertised.

It looks like a fairly effective tool for the price and you can clean the blade by rinsing it under hot water without touching the sharp edge. This knife works with a wobbling motion; One thing to know, however, is that the included stand isn't a very secure way of storing the blade, so you might want to bring a sheath for it - the idea of storing it on a stand can be dangerous. depending on your situation. I wouldn't trust it with any major stress or torture testing due to the steel grade and…

Quick and easy cutting

No kitchen can do without it. We use it to cut salads. It makes housework a pleasure, and chopped lettuce tastes better than torn lettuce (etc.). With Oulu you can make a large batch of chopped lettuce in just a few minutes. We have been keeping them for over a decade and passing them on to our adult children whose enthusiasm is similar to ours. There's nothing quite like the Ulu, although some stores sell versions with two handles and/or two blades. We usually prefer the smaller size with a…

Now we're eating truckloads of salads and veggies!

All my life, where has that little tool been when I've eaten a salad? My god I love this! All I've used it for so far is chopping lettuce into manageable bites. I hate big, huge chunks of lettuce that you can't eat with dignity. I toss the salad mix in a bowl, assorted veggies, and just chop and roll. After a few shakes to redistribution underway, voila! Nice evenly cut lettuce. Guess what else - it's perfect for picky kids! My three girls don't like chunks of broccoli or celery in their salad,

Where has this little tool been my whole life when I've been eating salad? My god I love it! Everything I've used to date is slicing salads into small pieces. One of my mother's brothers lived in Alaska for a time when he was young. He came home with a bunch of these knives for everyone in his family, so I grew up with an ulu knife in the kitchen. These are AWESOME knives and they cut modern foods as well as whale oil. Here are the highlights (and one downside): * SUITABLE FOR KIDS: Ulu knives are particularly good for children as the handle keeps your hand off the blade and also gives you enough leverage to make a safe cut. As a kid, I used the…
